Yearbook

Graduation Class of 2025 Yearbook Deadlines:
Plans for the 2024-25 Yearbook are already underway. For the Class of 25, that means it's time to think about a senior portrait for the yearbook. Seniors have two options for a portrait:

  • Use the Studio Ten school portrait (Picture Day is scheduled for 8-10:30am on Wednesday, August 28th at the HS; make-up day is 9:30-10am on Thursday, Oct. 17th at the HS). Cyber Academy students may attend either session.
  • Hire an outside photographer of your choice.

For seniors submitting their own portraits from an outside photographer, please note the following information:

  • The deadline for submitting the portrait is Friday, Nov. 1st.
  • Photos should be electronically submitted via the Jostens ReplayIt portal, which will be available in the forthcoming "Seniors 2025 Google Classroom" or submit a hard copy to Mrs. Fischer.
  • Photos must meet specific guidelines for placement in the book. Find out more information about submission and requirements via this document: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1GQAkhjSH0WQZ7gT3J_XhyF9WrNZzrRThEZ6HKnWzpBg/edit

Senior Portrait Information:
Seniors have the option of using Studio TEN for their Senior Portrait on the same day as school pictures. This service is provided free of charge, unless the student purchases a Studio TEN portrait package. The advantage of using Studio TEN is that the portrait will meet all guidelines established by the Yearbook staff and the portrait is automatically shared with the Yearbook staff.

Seniors may also hire an independent photographer and submit their portrait to Mrs. Fischer. Students must either upload the photo to the Google Classroom in the appropriate portal/post or transport a hard copy of the photo to school (attention: Mrs. Fischer/Yearbook).

Technical Requirements:
~ Digital files must be submitted as .jpg or .jpeg; scanned photos must be high in resolution (approx. 300 dpi)
~ Pictures from cell phones may not offer high enough resolution, but often can work
~ Filename must include the senior’s last name and then first name (ex:  Fischer_Kristen.jpg). Hard copy physical photos are ideally 2 inches wide by 2.5 inches tall and must have the student’s first and last name clearly attached to the back of the photo.

To achieve consistency among all portraits, all portraits must be a head and shoulders or torso shot (mid-body and up); must show student facing the camera, with both eyes visible, and should be sitting or standing; may not contain props (animals, hats, sunglasses, sport equipment, instruments or additional people); incorporate minimal background details (simple and uncluttered backgrounds look best); and may not contain names or date stamps on the portrait. Failure to meet these requirements will result in the picture not being published in the Yearbook.

Yearbooks go on sale the first week of school. This is the best opportunity to secure the best price of the year through the Yearbook’s back-to-school special offer. Additionally, anyone who would like to purchase a yearbook ad to honor and celebrate a senior in the Class of 2024 will also be able purchase an ad at the beginning of the school year.
