For the 2023-2024 school year, we are pleased to again offer FREE MEALS TO ALL STUDENTS, regardless of participation in the Free and Reduced Lunch program. Every weekday, both a breakfast and a lunch will be provided for all students of the district.

Follow these simple steps to register for the service:
- Click on the link above; once the MySchoolBucks site opens, click on "Sign Up Here"
- Create your account by inserting your child's name, their six (6) digit student ID (retrieve this by calling the Food Service Department at 412-429-2500, ext. 1118
- Enter the school's zip code: 15106
- Click "Finish" to complete the initial registration process

Aramark, Inc. plans meals for the children of the District with "today's kids" in mind. Ethnic foods, meatless dishes, and even low-fat desserts made with fresh ingredients are just a few of the ways the Food Services program attempts to prepare meals that will appeal to the changing tastes of young customers. The company is also conscious of serving foods that are nutritious, with lower fat content and moderate use of added salt. In addition, they realize the importance of ensuring that meals provide sufficient calories and meet all guidelines for nutritional standards.
The MySchoolBucks system moves students through the lunch lines more efficiently. It works as an accounting system, keeping track of meals and students accounts and will facilitate meal plan usage for free, reduced or paid students with 100% anonymity. Students will no longer need to carry lunch tickets.
Parents can deposit money into their child’s account and as a meal is purchased, the account will be debited. When the account balance runs low, the parent will be issued a letter to alert them of the need to add more money into the account. If the account holds a balance at the end of the school year, the amount will be forwarded to the next school year.
Students will use their current student ID numbers to pay for lunch using the MySchoolBucks system. When the PIN number is entered into a keypad at the lunch line, a photo of the student will appear on a screen, preventing unauthorized users.
Upon completion of the application for free or reduced lunches, eligible children will automatically be entered into the POS system and students will be able to access meals immediately.
Parents or students who wish to use cash for daily meals can still do so, but everyone is encouraged to try the new system. The advantages are many: the efficient process will enable students to move quickly through the serving line, allowing more time to eat; students with food allergies can be identified and warned when certain meals are served; and parents can access a report that will identify what their child is eating for lunch.
